Arts and Crafts Across the Curriculum -- a new series from Steck-Vaughn which is designed to provide activities that correlate with learning standards in the areas of language arts, math, science, and social studies. There are 40 activities in each book. Each activity includes a specific learning standard, a list of vocabulary words related to the topic, background information on the topic, a materials list, teacher and student directions, questions to ask about the background information, a drawing of the completed product, and any reproducible patterns needed to make the product. Get Set…Go! series, paper, Children’s Press. This series is designed for children ages 7-10 to teach themselves various hands-on activities. Each activity is allotted a two-page spread, one of which is a full-page, color picture of the finished product. The other page has the name of the project and is divided into three parts: Get Ready lists all materials that should be laid out before beginning the project. Get Set summarizes how the project will be accomplished. Go! describes how to finish the project. All the instructions are very simple. Each 24-page book has large, easy-to-read print with lots of white space in between lines, and an index. Title available for arts include

Hands on Heritage Series This series contains several books on various countries and historical periods in American History that contain arts, crafts, recipes, games, etc. that relate to a country or historical period.

Razzle Dazzle Doodle Art: Creative Play for You   and Your Young Child,  part of the Brown Paper Preschool Book Series. This book is full of art projects for preschoolers – some suitable for the backseat of the car or the doctor’s office waiting room, or even the kitchen sink. You probably already have the materials, and many of these projects take very little grown-up help. Helps children explore hands-on creativity, learn the meaning of marks and symbols, discover how parts and patterns fit together, and experiment with cause and effect. List price is 8.95. Those are some reasons why we recommend you email us first. If you want us to call you, please leave your phone number and time zone.
When you do email us, please do not leave the subject blank or just say "Hi" or "Hello" as the subject. We delete those before opening because a lot of spam messages look like that.
