YOUR EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM

Besides the generous planning pages, which offer two  lined 3.5 inch squares for each day of the week and an extra two squares for notes, the book includes suggestions for using it, space for school layout and safety plans, a student roster for 25 students, a general schedule page, a substitute teacher information page, the year at a glance with space for special events, birthdays, and holidays, illustrated stages ofr emergent and early writers, space to note multiple intelligences and learning styles of your students, and a chart with the early learner stages of development. The lesson planning pages have space for 52 weeks. TCM-3669. $8.99-D

How to Manage Your Early Childhood Classroom by Kathleen Thayer and Susan Westby. Teacher Created Resources. 304 pages. Student pages are reproducible for classroom use. This book uses a whole-child and sensory approach to learning that is suitable for all children, with very little adapting necessary for special needs children. In classroom testing, children from ages 2-5 have completed activities in this book successfully.

As you begin your preschool year, you will find here all the tools you need to make it a successful one. There are ideas on planning, organizing your classroom, developmental guidelines, handling behavioral problems, scheduling, parent conferences, health and safety, inclusion of special needs children, and memorable end-of-year programs. You will also learn the what, where and why of the preschool curriculum. At the end of most sections of this book you will find room to make your own notes so that you can keep all your information in one place. This is a must-have resource for those beginning their preschool teaching experience. TCM-2324. $22.46-D

We're in the Pacific Time Zone
Our normal office hours when we answer the phone are 10: 30 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday.
We answer email and ship at other times, but normally take Sundays off.

We prefer you ask your questions about products and availability by e-mail, since that gives us more time to prepare a thoughtful answer and keeps us from playing phone tag. Please remember to put our email address in your address book if you have a spam filter or you won't ever get your answer unless you also leave a phone number. We cannot usually tell you immediately over the phone if a book is here. We have to walk two blocks to check the warehouse, so I usually have to call you back or email you anyway.  We do check our e-mail frequently throughout the day when we are at home. If we should be out, and you leave a message on our answering machine, we sometimes cannot hear the phone number clearly to return your call. Those are some reasons why we recommend you email us first. If you want us to call you, please leave your phone number and time zone.
When you do email us, please do not leave the subject blank or just say "Hi" or "Hello" as the subject. We delete those before opening because a lot of spam messages look like that.
We have supplied a subject line in the link provided above that will guarantee your mail will be opened fast.
Or call (800)925-8587 (not before 10 AM or after 10 PM Pacific Time)
