Use
It! Don't Lose It! Daily Math Practice 6th Grade by Jill Norris.
Incentive Publications, 2006. Books in this series provide the perfect review
for helping students retain knowledge they've learned. They contain a carefully
correlated set of practice exercises -- five problems a day for 36 weeks. Each
week's practice is centered around a theme (scouting, recycling, mice, New York
City, earth science, etc.) Students learn new facts and expand their
vocabularies in content areas as they practice the math skills, concepts, and
processes they should know. The practice is set up with a regular spiraling
sequence to ensure that students will keep using each skill in different
contexts as they progress. Lots of word problems are included so that students
can easily see the applications of the skills they are learning. A Scope and
Sequence chart is included. Skills practiced in these books include number
concepts, geometry, problem solving, operations and computations, measurement,
statistics and graphing, probability, and more.
