These are mysteries I've read and include some from my favorite mystery series.
I will try to list the books in the order they come in their particular series.
It's best to read them in order. I started at the library and then bought the ones my library didn't have.
Follow blue title links to buy on my e-commerce site hosted by
www.tomfolio.com
Regardless of postage prices calculations by the shopping cart there (which will be higher than I will actually charge if you buy more than one book), I will automatically lower the price to my costs without your having to ask when I process your order. Your order is not processed by the site. If you order books from more than one of my two sites hosted there, I will automatically consolidate the orders into one package to save on shipping costs for you.

Cat Mysteries / Cozy Mysteries / Mysteries Set in California
The Cat Who Series by Lillian Jackson Braun: In this series, journalist Jim Qwilleran (Quill) and his two extraordinary Siamese cats, Koko and Yum Yum, solve a series of mysteries in the small town of Pickax, in Moose County, 400 miles north of everywhere. Each book builds on the next, so it's best to read the books in order. You will get to know the characters from book to book, as many of them remain the same. I will not try to describe each plot. The first book in the series is The Cat Who Could Read Backwards. The books I'm selling in this series are after the list.

Midnight Louie Mysteries by Carole Nelson Douglas: This is my very favorite mystery series. Midnight Louie is, as you might expect, a very black cat. He is also a tomcat, cat-about town in Las Vegas, and alpha-cat. He, with help from human, canine, and feline friends, finds serial killers in this series, which after the first two books, Catnap and Pussyfoot , are in alphabetical order by the first word of the last phrase. The nice thing is that if you happen to pick up a book out of order, most books will begin with Louie's introductory orientation to who's who and what's happened in the series thus far. I suggest, however, that you begin at the beginning, because in these books, you will want to get to know the characters book by book and you will begin to care even more about them than you will about the plot which moves from book to book. Each book solves one mystery, but you want to read the next one to see what happens to the main characters next. will list any I have for sale at the end of my list of books in the series. This is the order in which to read the books.

Jill Churchill's Jane Jeffry Mysteries: Jane Jeffries is a suburban housewife who solves mysteries that just seem to pop up as her neighbors and others get murdered. Her neighbor and best friend Shelley is usually right at her side when there are cases to investigate. Here are the books in the order I believe is accurate as far as listed on the book I have. Although sometimes these book refer back to things that happen in previous books, reading these books in order is not as important as it is in the cat mysteries I have listed. By books fro sale are at the end of the list.

Benni Harper Mysteries by Earlene Fowler: Benni Harper, a young widow, is a spirited ex-cowgirl, quilter, and folk-art expert. Her home territory is San Luis Obispo, disguised as San Celina in this series, in San Luis Obispo County. Though her home city is not called by it's proper name, the surrounding cites of Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, Atascadero, and Paso Robles are properly identified. Benni is recovering from her husband's death in an accident as the series begins, and she has moved from her husband's family's ranch into San Celina, where she has found a job as the curator of a Folk Art Museum. It is in this context she is faced with solving her first murder. Throughout the series she has a habit of finding bodies or becoming involved in solving murders she comes in contact with. I very much enjoy this series because it takes place in my county and I can visualize the places mentioned. I also tend to get involved with the characters as they develop through the series and I learn to care what happens to them from one book to the next. Here are the books in this series in order, as far as I have read them. I do suggest you read them in order, since they do refer to past events.

We're in the Pacific Time Zone
Our normal office hours when we answer the phone are 10: 30 AM - 4 PM Monday -
Friday.
We answer email and ship at other times, but normally take Sundays off.
We prefer you ask your questions about products
and availability by
e-mail (barbsbooks@sbcglobal.net), since that gives us more time to prepare a thoughtful answer and
keeps us from playing phone tag. Please remember to put our email address in
your address book if you have a spam filter or you won't ever get your answer
unless you also leave a phone number. We cannot usually tell you immediately over the phone if a
book is here. We have to walk two blocks to check the warehouse, so I usually
have to call you back or email you anyway. We do check our e-mail frequently
throughout the day when we are at home. If we should be out, and you leave a
message on our answering machine, we sometimes cannot hear the phone number
clearly to return your call. Those are some reasons why we recommend you email
us first. If you want us to call you, please leave your phone number and time
zone.
When you do email us, please do not leave the subject blank or just say "Hi" or
"Hello" as the subject. We delete those before opening because a lot of spam
messages look like that.
We have supplied a subject line in the link provided above that will guarantee
your mail will be opened fast.
