SIGHT WORDS IN A FLASH RESOURCES

This series has several components that work together to motivate primary students (and older remedial students) to learn their sight words. The foundation  of the series consists of four sets of color-coded flash cards which are punched to fit in sets on rings. Students can works through their colors one by one until they have finished a set. They can track progress on a bookmark-sized chart where they can check off their accomplishments. They can also keep charts in their notebooks that have the words for each color for review. And they can also work sight word puzzles that contain their words. Or they can play Bingo with the words. Teachers can make use of any or all of these components as they choose

Sight Words in a Flash Flash Cards contain 169 words per set. They are color coded, UV-coated, 2½" x 4" cards with colorful borders and rounded corners for durability. Two included sort-and-store rings allow you to organize smaller practice sets and easily organize the cards by color. The cards are hold-punched for easy sort-and-store. One side of each card has the printed word. The other side shows the word with a print awareness outline. Four sets are available. Each set is $10.79-D

Sight Words in a Flash Bingo: This classroom favorite is a great way to reinforce sight word learning! Each game includes 169 sight words which correspond with our Sight Words in a Flash flash cards, notebook charts, wall charts and popular word searches. Includes 36, 7 x 9" playing cards; 169 calling cards and 500 bingo markers. This is also availablele in four sets, to coordinate with the flash cards. Bingo sets are $8.99-D each.

    Word Searches: These contain sight / high frequency words and coordinate with the Sight Words in a Flash series. They are great for review, learning centers, and individuals. Answer keys are included. Four books are available, and they are $5.39 each.

 Progress Tracker and Notebook Charts

Notebook Charts. These handy charts can be kept in each student's notebook for motivation and keeping the words for each set close at hand. They are color coded to match the cards. There are 30 charts per pack. $4.46-D each package of 30.

These are bookmark size progress trackers to go with Sight Words in a Flash flashcards and are color coded to match the flash cards in the sets. They can be used with any of the sets. Students can use them to mark off each set of words they have mastered, so they act as motivators to reinforce accomplishment. They can be stapled to folders or notebooks or taped on desks -- whatever works best for you. These come in a shrink-wrapped package of 30. BTH-4066. $3.59-D

Our normal office hours when we answer the phone are 10: 30 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday.
We answer email and ship at other times, but normally take Sundays off.
 You can fax your purchase orders to 805-237-8639, but it's good to follow up with a phone call in a couple of days to make sure we got it, if you did not receive a delivery confirmation email. Please include an email address with your purchase order in case we have questions and so we can send your delivery confirmation number to you.  You can also attach a signed purchase order to an email.

 We prefer you ask your questions about products and availability by e-mail (barbsbooks@sbcglobal.net), since that gives us more time to prepare a thoughtful answer and keeps us from playing phone tag. Please remember to put our email address in your address book if you have a spam filter or you won't ever get your answer unless you also leave a phone number. We cannot usually tell you immediately over the phone if a book is here. We have to walk two blocks to check the warehouse, so I usually have to call you back or email you anyway.  We do check our e-mail frequently throughout the day when we are at home. If we should be out, and you leave a message on our answering machine, we sometimes cannot hear the phone number clearly to return your call. Those are some reasons why we recommend you email us first. If you want us to call you, please leave your phone number and time zone.
When you do email us, please do not leave the subject blank or just say "Hi" or "Hello" as the subject. We delete those before opening because a lot of spam messages look like that.
