History and Biography

People to Remember from January Productions, a division  of Educational Impressions. This is a series of highly motivating read-alongs based on the biographies of famous American heroes and heroines.  A 32-page paperback book comes packed with a cassette that has a paced, word-for-word narration of the story. Students can read the story while listening  to the tape for comprehension. A beeped tone tells when to turn the page. The other side of the cassette contains a word-for-word version of the story without the beeps. There is also an activity card packed with each tape-book set. It contains vocabulary exercises, questions to think about, and some things to do. The set is packed in a hang-up plastic bag that snaps shut at the top. For grades 4-9. These sets are $10.79-D, each title,  for what is described above. I can also order Sets that have 8 books and 1 tape for $25.15-D. Available titles are listed below. Some I may need to order for you. If you want a set with eight books, add SR to the catalog number below when ordering and allow about two - three weeks for delivery.

Presidential Read-Along Series, also produced by January Productions (Educational Impressions).  These come in the same two formats and for the same prices as the People to Remember series above. One tape with one book is $10.79-D. One tape with eight books is $25.16-D. These sets capture student interest with exciting biographies that bring the Presidents of the United States to life. Each biography shows how the President was influenced by his early life. Important events and achievements are also discussed. Here are the titles:

We're in the Pacific Time Zone
Our normal office hours when we answer the phone are 10: 30 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday.
We answer email and ship at other times, but normally take Sundays off.
 

We prefer you ask your questions about products and availability by e-mail, since that gives us more time to prepare a thoughtful answer and keeps us from playing phone tag. Please remember to put our email address in your address book if you have a spam filter or you won't ever get your answer unless you also leave a phone number. We cannot usually tell you immediately over the phone if a book is here. We have to walk two blocks to check the warehouse, so I usually have to call you back or email you anyway.  We do check our e-mail frequently throughout the day when we are at home. If we should be out, and you leave a message on our answering machine, we sometimes cannot hear the phone number clearly to return your call. Those are some reasons why we recommend you email us first. If you want us to call you, please leave your phone number and time zone.
When you do email us, please do not leave the subject blank or just say "Hi" or "Hello" as the subject. We delete those before opening because a lot of spam messages look like that.
