OUR FAVORITE LINKS
We've worked hard to put together a list of links that's a little
different from the link lists on other homeschool pages. Get more information on books and
authors, inspiration from other homeschoolers, and just have fun.

The Apple
Orchard: A Place for Adults Who love Children's Books. This page reviews old
children's books and series and offers up-to-date news on which old classics are coming
back into print. They also have a list of old classics that are currently in print. If you
find one you want, I can handle it as a special order if I don't already carry it. I do
carry many of them, which may or may not be listed on my page yet. It never hurts to ask.

homeschool teachers do a better job. She also has articles by others. These articles cover
everyting from math and reading to building a history currriculum and understanding

The Home School
Curriculum Swap: We've visited a lot of home school pages, and they all offer useful
information. But this page gives parent teachers a chance to compare notes with others on
anything from curriculum to the prices of book rate postage. One of the most valuable
features of this page is its classified ad section where you may advertise used books and
curriculum or place a wanted ad, all for no charge. You handle your own ads, and deal
directly by e-mail with those who answer them. I have sold used books within 15 minutes
after placing some ads. And teachers, you may be able to find used books you need here,
too.

subject are waiting!

Wee Ones: This page is
dedicated to all people involved in the care of infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The
link goes to the welcome page, which is all graphics, but captivated me and lured me to
the rest of the site. If you want to skip it and go straight for the meat, go right to the
home page. From
there you can find many printable pages to use at home with your preschool children or
daycare business. Included are Bible story pages to color. If your children are
under five, don't miss this one.
Chess for
Kids: a resource for chess players of all skill levels, from beginners to
advanced tournament players. They provide tutorials to improve your strength, as well as
chess puzzles to practice on and learn from.

ones you want to read? Well, now you can have it. Just go to this page and build it with
all your favorites -- including the ones your paper may have already dropped. If you'd
like to read more than the comics, you can get the other Houston Chronicle features such
as weather, sports, columnists, news stories, etc. at the Houston
Chronicle Interactive Home Page
Peter's
Page: Peter, from the Netherlands. is interested in postcards and also has some
interesting dinosaur pictures that he thinks support the view that men and dinosaurs
coexisted. I hope you will check out his page and maybe trade some postcards with him.
SLO-North: This is my own personal page about the region where I live in
San Luis Obispo County, California. I am especially interested in sharing my
gardening experiences here and showing pictures of the various weeds that are
common in this region with original pictures of them at different stages of
their life cycles and also what I do with those that are edible.
