Your privacy is as important to us as our own. We
do not gather any personal information from our web site visitors, nor do we use
the ordering information our customers give us for any purpose except filling
the order or providing requested information. We do not sell or rent customer
information to anyone. We do not like to get Spam or telemarketing calls, and we
don't want to be responsible for any visitor to this web site or for any of our
customers getting them.
For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server
automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name, but not the e-mail address. Although we ourselves do not enable any sort of tracking cookies, our third party affiliates enable cookies that help them identify that we have sent someone to their site. These affiliates help us maintain this site, so we hope you will not disable these cookies. When you make purchases from these third party sites, we do received a small commision. These affiliates also make it possible to offer you products we don't have room or budget to keep in stock, but we still want to tell you about. We appreciate your consideration as we help each other.

organizations for commercial purposes.
If you supply us with your postal address on-line you will only receive the information
for which you provided us your address. Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers
on-line may receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have
placed on-line or by e-mail. We would never ever sell your phone number to telemarketers
or give it to anyone else. In fact, if you'd like to cut down on the amount of
telemarketing calls you receive, I highly recommend the Tele-Zapper. I bought mine at
Costco. You plug it into your phone jack and it tells anyone making a computer generated
call that your number has been disconnected. Only calls made by real people will get
through. Our telemarketing calls have decreased by about 90% since we got it. And it was
only about $30.00. I have no financial interest in the product. Just want to pass on a tip
to help you cut down on the number of these annoying calls you receive.
Any information you give us in e-mail or on our order form
is used only to help us give you requested information or to assist us in filling your
orders properly. Occasionally we may send our customers special announcements of our sales
and promotions, but they will be directly from us. These usually go out no more frequently
than once a month and will announce offers not available to anyone but our previous
customers. You will always have the option of opting out of any future messages of this
type. We will never give out your email address to any other company or sell or rent it to
anyone else.
A WORD ABOUT SECURITY Although we do
not have a secure server on this web site, when you inquire about books you want
to buy, I respond with an availability confirmation that will give you links to
my secure server on the tomfolio.com site, I
myself process your credit card orders and no one sees your number but me,
unless you call and my husband takes your order. I can also take your credit
card number by phone if you prefer it. And I do accept checks and PayPal
payments if you prefer those methods.
You may contact us any time by e-mail and we will respond
to you as soon as we can -- usually the same day if we are in town. Occasionally we have
power or phone outages which delay our response, but as soon as possible we will respond
to you personally. These pages are here to serve you, and we do not use your private
information for any other purpose.

Our normal office hours when we answer the phone are 10: 30 AM - 4 PM Monday -
Friday.
We answer email and ship at other times, but normally take Sundays off.
You can fax your purchase orders to 805-237-8639, but it's good to follow up with a phone call in a couple of days to make sure we got it, if you did not receive a delivery confirmation email. Please include an email address with your purchase order in case we have questions and so we can send your delivery confirmation number to you. You can also attach a signed purchase order to an email.
We prefer you ask your questions about products
and availability by
e-mail (barbsbooks@sbcglobal.net), since that gives us more time to prepare a thoughtful answer and
keeps us from playing phone tag. Please remember to put our email address in
your address book if you have a spam filter or you won't ever get your answer
unless you also leave a phone number. We cannot usually tell you immediately over the phone if a
book is here. We have to walk two blocks to check the warehouse, so I usually
have to call you back or email you anyway. We do check our e-mail frequently
throughout the day when we are at home. If we should be out, and you leave a
message on our answering machine, we sometimes cannot hear the phone number
clearly to return your call. Those are some reasons why we recommend you email
us first. If you want us to call you, please leave your phone number and time
zone.
When you do email us, please do not leave the subject blank or just say "Hi" or
"Hello" as the subject. We delete those before opening because a lot of spam
messages look like that.
