BOOKS BY AND ABOUT ZANE GREY

From the Walter Black Series

This is a series of 75 reprints of Zane Grey titles, including one biography. The last 15 of these titles are fairly difficult to find, but we have a number of them in stock. I have included the numbers on the last 15 along with the titles. The books are off white cloth with spine labels in gilt, red and blue.We are in the process of listing all of we have of this series on this page. They are in alphabetical order to find easily. Unless otherwise specified, books in this section are published by Walter J. Black, Inc., and do not have the original glassine dust jackets. All the books look pretty much like the biography, below, on the outside. The lettering is in gilt on the spine.
All books, with the possible exception of Camp Robber, are reprints.

BT-2754.jpg (16869 bytes)#64 Zane Grey: A Biography, by Frank Gruber.  Defects: Some color flaking from around the words Zane Grey and around the author's name on spine, but lettering is intact. Corners are bumped with light ware, and end papers are free of writing. A few small stains on block edges.Bump on top edge cream-colored part of back cover. 1969 Stated first edition, by arrangement with World Publishing, whatever that means. BT-2754 $ 20.00-U (B)
To see what the books really look like, click on image to enlarge it. The blue and gray are not part of the book.

#63 Boulder Dam.   234 pages. Defects: A circled #1 appears on front paste-down as the only writing. Spine is aligned at a slight angle. Light stains on spine and on beige part of front cover. Light wear to spine and corners, but lettering is still clear. VG-. c. 1963. Title page bound in crooked. BT#2756. $15.00-U

#75 Camp Robber. c.1979. No other copyright information. Defects: Title page bound in crooked. There are some light smears on the front board (like fingerprints). Spine is cocked. (At a slant). Corners of boards have slight wear. Top corners may be lightly bumped, but so lightly it's hard to tell. There is a very small, barely discernable stain on the fore edge. There are some slight streaks (about page thickness) where the top edge isn't blue like the rest of the edge. Just a tad below very good condition. BT#2760. $299.00-U

#61 The Ranger and Other Stories :  The other stories are "Canyon Walls," "Avalanche," and From Missouri."   Defects:  Previous owner name on front paste-down, couple of speck spots on front end papers, you can see the part of one of the binding strings in the gutter between front end pages, light wear to corners (one of which is bumped), barely discernible soiling of bottom block edge. Finger print on one of blank pages at back. Slight raised spot toward top of sun rays across spine. Otherwise VG. Latest copyright is 1960. BT#2753-U. $12.00

We're in the Pacific Time Zone
Our normal office hours when we answer the phone are 10: 30 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday.
We answer email and ship at other times, but normally take Sundays off.

We prefer you ask your questions about products and availability by e-mail, since that gives us more time to prepare a thoughtful answer and keeps us from playing phone tag. Please remember to put our email address in your address book if you have a spam filter or you won't ever get your answer unless you also leave a phone number. We cannot usually tell you immediately over the phone if a book is here. We have to walk two blocks to check the warehouse, so I usually have to call you back or email you anyway.  We do check our e-mail frequently throughout the day when we are at home. If we should be out, and you leave a message on our answering machine, we sometimes cannot hear the phone number clearly to return your call. Those are some reasons why we recommend you email us first. If you want us to call you, please leave your phone number and time zone.
When you do email us, please do not leave the subject blank or just say "Hi" or "Hello" as the subject. We delete those before opening because a lot of spam messages look like that.
We have supplied a subject line in the link provided above that will guarantee your mail will be opened fast.
Or call (800)925-8587 (not before 10 AM or after 10 PM Pacific Time)
